I had wanted to do the 8.8 but never got around do finishing the measurements. My biggest concern was the offset of the pinion. I had planned to use one from a Exploder. Factory 3.73 posi disc brakes. The reason for me is I can pick up one complete for $100 but can't find an 8.25 for the life of me.

I considered that but didn't know how much it would alter the strength or anything else it would mess up if anything. Yes my crank has stock Mopar journals but I could have them ground to fit Chevy rods. Anyone have an opinion on opening up the chevy rod for the Mopar pin?

Does anyone out there make a 6.00 inch Mopar rod? Or at least one with a Mopar sized little end?
