Yes that's right, actually the 360 was the only option and it only came with the thermoquad carb , no efi or anything like some USA cars. The market for this car over here was the top luxury against the mercury grand marquis and the ford crown victoria that where leading on sales, so I guess...

The yellow 1980 one is mine, those are the stock wheels the car is Mx built , it's a 360/727 car with a Dana44 rear end the only non-stock thing on mine in that picture is the grille star, it should have a cordoba emblem like the one in the white one but it was broken sometime before it was mine.

Here in mexico the replacement for the A-body superbee was the F-body superbee based on the f-body mexican Dart ( slant 6), the drivetrain was the 300hp (that was the advertised hp) 360 4bbl thermoquad carb , newprocess 4spd manual or 727 3speed auto and a Dana44 rear . Interior used bucket...

I think a TBI from a truck with the same engine 360 or 318 should fit swaping the PCM sensors and stuff.

They also had newprocess 4speed trans or 727 3speed, rear swaybar and DANA 44 rear end.

Just to add some info in Mexico the 360 4barrel was offered with 727 transmision.
