Here's my 84. I used the A body Jegs dual exhaust kit. I moved my tank over one rib and extended my filler neck by 2" with a spare I had laying around. No problem with the tank not sitting right no hammering needed.
It may hit the firewall. I run a stock mopar distributor with a 4 pin hei module and a Msd blaster ss e core coil. Easy to change the 4 pin module if needed and plenty of clearance at the firewall.
If your on a budget get the cheap summit brand A body headers. Like 130$. I have them on my fifth ave and they fit fine. Use copper gaskets for no leaks, strip the shipping paint off and paint them with bbq paint, use allen head header bolts and put a spark plug sock on the number 6 and 8 plug...

I run an hei ignition. Its super easy to install and cheaper than the mopar ignition. Gm hei 4 pin module, a proform vacumm advace distributor, and a msd blaster ss e core coil. You could also just use a stock vacumm advance distributor.

Use some Comp Cam #901 springs. Its cheap insurance.

No need for the expensive price of gear and pinion setup. Takes like an hour to install and all you have to do is remove the spider gears and replace them with the locker. A little clicking won't bother me at all.
