I'm bringing my '76 volare custom back to life and am giving up on the electric fan setup I had for it. I have the old fan shroud but I don't have the clutch or fan. Anyone know the fan diameter? Any recommendations on using an alternative size, any part numbers? I can pic up the clutch...

I'm putting back together my '76 volare and have a problem. The front bumper shock mount posts to mount it to the frame are too long and make the bumper stick out an inch or so. is there a way of compressing the mount? Thanks! --- Post updated --- It occurs to me I could drill out the slot...

    '76 Volare owner

Long time no see :) I am in B/CS now working at Texas A&M. Updates on the car: Someone hit me and I had a wrecked front end for a while, then my old job ended and I got caught up in moving, etc. The Volare hasn't been on the road for 2 years but I do start it every few months, and just...

    '76 Volare radiator options?

I ended up picking up a 4 core aluminum that is built for a dart. Easy enough to cut new holes in the mount bracket, and it seems to hold the heat just fine. The only problem I have us the overflow valve is on the wrong (drivers) side. At least now the beast is alive. I don't know what kind of...

    '76 Volare radiator options?

Looks like I need a new radiator after the build. Are f and m body radiators matching? If not anyone know a good option for increased cooling for a hopped up 318 in a 76 Volare with automatic? I was reading that there is a good drop in 3 core for an '87 diplomat, and if the 2 are...

Headers in volaretouch the brake booster?

Well I finally got the car started and running, and the headers seem to clear everything after picking up a '97 dodge ram 5.2 starter. That was the way to go on that. Thanks for the advice everyone.

Headers in volaretouch the brake booster?

Fixed that.... As it turns out, tightening in the headers fixed the brake booster clearance issue. Now the starter is rubbing the headers. I'm going to see if I can pick up a Dakota mini starter tomorrow at the junkyard. For what it's worth, the car does have power steering and that...

Headers in volaretouch the brake booster?

I'm still tightening things down, but it appears that my summit racing headers are touching my brake booster. Anyone seen this issue before? Any remedies? Thanks,

    '76 Volare owner

One last pic. Ha, Yeah my girlfriend took the car to work and did a photo shoot with a friend during lunch. For now this is the end with the color. I have a satin urethane that I'm going to spray on it just to make it as clean and consistent as possible. The coat in the pics is just black...

And so far the engine is together and back in the car, we are trying to get everything pinned in now (starter, wiring, etc). I'll wash it and try to get a video up when I get it together and the engine somewhat broke in.
