    Rear leaf spring "tensioner"??

is it possible that these are traction bars of some sort? I don't see if the "tensioners" are going between the axle and the front leaf spring eye, or between the axle and the rear leaf spring eye. This part of the description is really confusing: "...shackle and the torsion bar and looks to...

    Best shocks for stock suspension

The F/M/J body transverse torsion bar front suspension was intended to have a "big car ride". The big cars (C bodies in Mopar Speak) were also softly sprung, huge beasts( i.e. the suspension was designed to be that way). To get that desired (by Mopar management/sales) ride, they created a...

The F/M/J body transverse torsion bar front suspension was intended to have a "big car ride". The big cars (C bodies in Mopar Speak) were also softly sprung, huge beasts. To get that desired (by Mopar management/sales) ride, they created a suspension that was basically made of marshmallows. Come...

    Fuel Filter at 2:32 am

You may be able to check if you have a clogged line by taking a compressed air blower gun, and putting it into the open fuel line and giving it a short burst. With somebody standing near the gas tank (gas cap off), they should be able to hear the air bubbling out. if the fuel line is clogged, or...

    1981 Imperial $2200 - Ravenna MI

Really? a 4 door 1981 Imperial? Somebody should snap that up. Wait a minute.... seems like 2 doors are missing. On a more serious note, I wonder if it has the problematic digital dash, or if the coversion to a carb was properly done? They are really nice looking cars, if a little too close to a...

    Very mysterious electric issue

Intermittent electrical connection, by the sounds of things. Check the nuts and the screw posts on the coil, and the terminals on wires that went to the coil. Make sure they are all clean and shiny. Just a thought from the problem description. I suppose it could be an intermittent screw post...

Really good band, and for this song at least (they actually have a lot of great songs with good lyrics), really great lyrics. I think their debut album, although unrecognized by most, has to have been one of the best debut albums of all time. Great band, great lyrics, with great musicians...

Remote oil filter installs - who's got what???

A header setup can provide some horsepower gains over a manifold setup. How much is dependent on how restrictive the manifold set up is, some of which has to do with is the facotry a real dual exhaust all the way back, the design of the original exhaust manifolds, the design of the headers...

    would a 4bbl car post 1984 have a A904 or an A999?

I don't know if you were talkingabout the AHB only cars, but my 1980 Cordoba Crown has an A998 in it with its 318-4BBL. My 1981 Mirada CMX has an A999 along with its 318-4BBL. These are all factory original, the transmission codes on the fender tags show them, and I've been underneath and can...

"Don't Let Go" has to be one of the most beautiful duets that exists. Both Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush are outstanding on it. I'm a big fan of Kate Bush anyway, and have liked Peter Gabriel for a long time, so its great to hear them together.

"Steam" seems like a direct lead in to "Big Time". I really liked the earlier Peter Gabriel material, especially between his leaving Genesis and through to the "So" album. Personal favourite is "Shock the Monkey" when Gabriel was playing around with African/World beat type music. His videos are...

    Dodge Diplomat Turn Signal

A bad bulb would normally cause the right blinker to flash more rapidly than the left. Its either a wiring issue, a turn signal switch, or the flasher itself. I suppose in some odd cases, it could be the socket. I'm betting on the flasher, which is cheap and easy to fix.
