Bump this pup. You guys are throwing some really good info & input. Just so happens I happen to have 1 of these ( needs rebuilt and a little love ) sitting on my shelf. Might put it on my 318 I stroked to 351.
Just remember this. When you swap your manual steering box will require a longer shaft and the number of splines are going to different. Be prepared for this and don't get discouraged.
I got 1 of those out of a salvage yard once back when I demo derbyed. That was 1 tough car. It went 5 hard hitting derbies before my son cut the core support and pulled the motor & tranny out of it. I'd love to have 1 for a driver.
