Prefer a low kilometer minty two door or wagon, slant 6 and 4 speed OD Ontario or Quebec or Western Provices.

Having said that if it is a 4 door with a stick and a 318, try me.

PM would be best.

Thanks.

Well I would look at a straight 4 speed stick shift as well, even a three on the tree if the condition of the car was great!

Where 4/ 3 OD speed cars made 79 and or 80?
If they did, I'm thinking in low numbers.
Most I see are 76/77.
I had an '80 Slant Six/4-speed coupe back in '92.

All factory 4-speed F/M cars used the overdrive transmission. The last close-ratio A833 was used in the '75 E58 360 A-bodies.

Not in Canada, but close to the border and it checks a few marks off your list.

Yeah, if a guy's looking for a Slant Six with a row-your-own, he couldn't do much better than that.

If he's sticking to getting anywhere near $8,500, it'll be posted a lot longer.

Yep. That is the asking price.
Yes, but he doesn't say "asking" or "OBO" anywhere and the car's been for sale for quite awhile. That leads me to think he's pretty firm on his price, or at least the stratosphere in which his price lies. It's a nice car, no doubt, but a Slant Six F-body is a tough sell at even 5 grand, sunroof and 4-speed or not.

Agreed.
If he's firm on that price then it's going to be his for a long time I reckon.

Well, it comes with a complete replacement black interior for that price... or best offer. So that's money you don't have to sink into it, and other than paint I really don't see where there's much else to spend. Since, looking at the For Sale ads here, even an R/T with a Slant Six is a hard sell at two grand, I don't expect this guy will get offered near his asking anytime soon.
Asking price is no indicator of current market value. Selling price is, and since 75% of eBay sales never actually get completed, that's a poor bellwether for the market. When I bought my '80, the price on the windshield was $1,495 OBO. It sat for a month, and the dealership that had it sold it to me, tax included, for $400. And everyone around town said, "Holy crap, Larry sold that old Dodge for $1,500!" until I showed them the receipt.
