Check out the air box selection here. I have been looking to get a dual snorkel box for a while now. They have a mean look to them, and I think my mopar cleaner will fit for a lid. The one you picked is nice, just offering this site I found searching for the same.

First WTF moment?
Old tank and sending unit has a plug.

New sending unit does not have a plug. How do I make this work?

Looking at the wiring diagram;
Gray wire is ground.
Dark Blue is fuel gauge
Light Blue is low fuel warning

Dark blue seems to be the one I need to attach to the new sender. Then attach the ground from the new sender. The light blue one will not be used.

Slowly chipping away. I'm waiting on some russell fittings to come in, so I started mounting the TB and the Bouchillon brackets. I'll need to set the bracket a little.

Intake came in and as usual it will require some mods to work. Wont look to bad though. I will have to use short cone filters. The passenger side pipe may take some jockeying. The EFI harness is just sitting there while I mock it up and figure how I want to route it.

The Bouchillion Bracket sticks out far enough to interfere with the CAI main box.

Plenty of room to make a spacer to get the main CAI box to clear the bracket. I only need to raise it 1/2 inch.

I have a stock performer on the Mirada right now. The engine is near stock at the moment. The Edelbrock street efi gets here in a couple days. New tank an d sending unit, I already have. The opened up performer I have, will go on the 318/390 Magnum when I start on it. The hughes heads will be redrilled by Hughes for the LA intake. The torker II will not be a very good match for the usage or gearing of the car(2.94). It does however allow a third option for folks still running a/c.
The good thing about the torker and 2.94 is you're less likley to burn the tires off. My combo with the 3.55, low 1st gear, 2500 stall, and performer, builds too much torque down low for the 255-60-15 coopers to handle.

Looks like you're having some fun. How much is that efi ? Will it work with boost or nitrous?

Ha, never thought of it like that. Torker+High Gear

2500 for the kit which includes the fuel system.

What's taking the time is setting up the efi harness in the engine compartment. Location for efi box, regulator, etc. That engine compartment is busier than it looks.

That compartment is busy. I do not like the double snorkel air cleaner in person, as well as I liked it in the pictures. Small filters will not provide the filtration you want. Plus one big filter, and one small might produce all kinds of ugly turbulence in that box.

I think you might be happier with the hat air cleaner assembly off of a mid 90's jeep grand cherokee that had the 318.

I can get shorter 90 elbows for both sides. That would allow same length each side and long filters .

You do know it won't be a "cold air" system if it's drawing air from the engine compartment?

You could duct it like mine and put the filters out front behind the bumper.

My filter is not out front, but the air is drawn from there.

Later projects brother. After this I have an 8.25 staring at me in the garage...lol.

Oh, a one inch spacer lets that box clear everything.

Damn I hate resheathing and taping electrical wiring.

Alright gents, what's the Orange box besides the voltage regulator

Wasn't a member looking for an EGR timer recently? You might make a buck, and a friend off of your unloved unit.

My filter is not out front, but the air is drawn from there.

Closing off the passenger side can be an option. Shooting a pipe from the driver's side to the cold air hole sounds like a plan. Should not be too hard to rig a filter so it's a true CAI. Should be a lot of room in the fender well.

In other news; FP is mounted, primary fuel line is routed. I just have to Finnish securing. Fuel regulator is mounted just behind the canister.

I decided to route the return fuel line looping down below the engine along the front of the K-frame and down the passenger side.

Almost done with the engine bay harness and efi harness.

Waiting on these to finnish making the battery area better.

It's starting to clean up. Still got some things to stow in the engine compartment. The black/red wire is the fuel pump harness, the connections by the TB is the key-on/crank trigger wire. Those spark plug wires are being replaced by Accel 8.8's.

Looking like a no brainer on the CAI tube. It will require a 4" 45 degree tube coming out of the box, a 4" to 3" reducer, 3" Memory-flex tubing from Spectre, and a filter on the end of the stock 3" tube in the fender well.

Farting around with the CAI routing. I had an old Moroso 3.5" hard tube from the mustang and sawed it in half. The Spectre filter pops right on the end. The ridged memory flex tubing from summit is still in route. It will go from the hard tube, up in the wheel well, through the stock hole in the fender well, and hook into the 45 degree tube coming out of the air box on the TB.

Just do not drive through any puddles. Fuel injection systems hate to suck up water.
