All I can say is holy shit.

.......is Legendary.

I've driven the hell out of this road warrior and still do everyday. It starts no matter what the weather and gets me everywhere......in fine Chrysler style.

Can't believe this beast. Best $600 I ever spent.

Truly Legendary.

There absolutely is SOMETHING about these cars. I'm not sure what exactly it is, but I have never been anywhere near as in love with any other cars, as much as my F wagons. I've had 9 of them now (I think) since 1978. I had looked for a slant 4 speed F for several years before I finally found OY, and I can't imagine ever getting rid of it. They aren't perfect for sure, but there seems to be something.. the perfect size/style/options/or lack thereof/ride/personality...I just don't know, but I love them. The M's are the same - The F's friendly younger cousins. The J's seem more sophisticated and bigger, but still they stand out from everything else. I think that we who love and appreciate these cars are actually very lucky that not everybody can see the "magic" in them. If so, they would fall into the same trap that so many other "worthy" collectable cars have fallen into and become overpriced and unobtainable for many (ie: Challengers, Cudas, essentially most all "muscle" Mopars). When I occasionally hear or read of somebody dissing F's or M's, I just smile and say nothing.

It seems funny to me that most of the disrespect that our cars get is either from off brand guys which is pretty normal but also from the other Mopar guys like the A,B and E body guys which I find pretty strange. Aren't our cars just a continuation of theirs?

The younger crowd seem to really dig our cars. I'm constantly having kids or young adults go on about how cool they are. But as you said OY.....I'm sort of good with being snubbed by the usual suspects. It's made my cars affordable.

Now the one thing I would love to see is places like AMD and such start making stuff for our cars. THAT would be cool. Oh well......I still think it'll happen as the other letters become cars only a high roller can afford and ours become the next "cool cars".

I got a 2000 Caddy daily driver recently and suffered a dilemma about what to do with the 5th. Didn't really want to sell, was going to ask $1,000 for it knowing I'd be kicking myself later. Can't really afford to insure and register it. Don't want it to sit and waste away either.

Finally decided... I'm going to put a "historic" plate on it. $30 and it's good for 10 years, insuring it will dirt cheap, next to nothing. $22 to add it on my policy that's good till June, but they, charge me $20 anytime I change anything on there anyway. Besides that it's restricted to driving it to and from car shows, parades, car club events etc. So the mighty $600 Fifth Ave is about to start it's second life as a "show car"!

Perfect.
I did that with the Caravelle and the Volare. Both dirt cheap to plate and insure and I still get to play with my toys.

I found an "authentic" plate on eBay I can put on it. "945 RAD". I think it's fitting
