Well David its so nice to see someone sitting in the same boat with me!
My dually is still in my dad's name.
They wouldn't let me register it this year cause it wasn't mine..needed his okay to do that. State had no problem with me getting it inspected.
I whipped out my power of attorney and got it registered anyway.
Then came home to find the title which dad says he gave me and I say he never did.
Rather than fight that issue, i'm whipping out that poa again to get the missing title replaced so I can then take that down and put it in my name.

I definitely feel your pain.

Since Title's are PROOF OF OWNERSHIP as they call it, I like to have TITLES to everything I own that needs them, and especially in my name.

We have that Homebuilt Tow Dolly, they aren't required by law to be Titled or Registered unless you want them to be. I am planning on doing that just because. Don't need no one steeling the damn thing and claiming it as theirs. Gonna get a serial number (assigned by the state for anything homebuilt for a title) and get it titled at least.

Got the Title to the 5th Avenue Friday, Signed it and submitted it to the Courthouse to Transfer it over to Our names yesterday.

Went Grocery Shopping and had enough to pick up a couple Cheapo Douglas 14 Inch Tires for the Aspen Rims today. I soooo need to get my Manual Tire Changer from Harbor Freight mounted into a Cement base (it's really a good Tire Changer for the occasional tire change, but really needs to be mounted to a good solid base). El Cheapo Douglas All Season tires at 205/75R14's for 52 bucks each. We have 195/75R14's on the Dart but they were all out of them, would have preferred that size for now just to keep it easy and tires all the same size between the two cars. Maybe when wife gets paid on the 20th we can get the other two tires for it LOL, Will have to see once we pick up the Pallet of Pig Food how much is left.

Been Raining, and SNOWING, this past week so haven't finished getting everything back on the aspen yet. Damn Mother Nature and her Bipolar ass is pissing me off this year. She really needs to get her Prozac refilled.

WHOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO, Drove it around the Trailer today. She looks Good though LOL, for as crappy as she looks LOL. Got the 5th Ave 235/75R15's on the Back and the 205/70R14's on the Front LOL, She's Got some Serious RAKE to her. Now to get to work on the Lighting in the Trunk (looks pieced together and all electrical taped up and nothing is working) (She's Not sitting in her On the Blocks Spot anymore LOL)

Ran her up to the Gas station to put in a few Gallons and she was smoking pretty good on the way back, it's only about a half mile to the Gas Station from us. I still don't have all the Vacuum Lines hooked up and air cleaner was off. Greyish Smoke so she's probably burning some Oil. And Just as My Luck, the Fuel Gauge Isn't working. I put in 5 gallons of Fuel and it still reads empty. Yes Wires are hooked up to it on the new take and sending unit and it is grounded. Ugh, now to fix some of the little things. LOL

Well you said there was a rats nest of wires under the dash, maybe the fuel gauge line is cut? Were the other gauges working? Maybe it is a fuse?

Actually, I haven't been under the Dash yet. Haven't really messed with much of the electrical stuff, the Wiring in the Trunk is all taped up and half the wires are cut in half. Brake lights don't work either. UGH.

LOL, at certain angles she kinda reminds of Mad Max's Car in the Road Warrior, especially when I look at her from the rear. Of course Mad Max was driving a 73 Ford Falcon XB though. LOL

Gas Gauge is Working now. Must not have had enough gas in it (Full tank now) with the raised rear end for it to move the gauge any.

Still has a Tad bit of Smoke Coming out the Tailpipe. Pretty good amount of smoke when you romp on it. Still don't have it all worked out. Looks like a Greyish blue Smoke but there is no loss of Coolant anywhere. purrs like a kitten with a bit of Lifter noise, not a lot. Shifting is still a bit clumsy here and there as I need to Lube the hell out of the linkages I think. Still need to fix the Front end so the Hood Closes completely, morons who had it before me used the cross piece underneath the Vertical Support (sorry not hip to all the parts names) where the Latch is to tow the car one day and bent the holy hell out of it so the latch is about an inch below the dohicky on the hood that catches the latch.

Wife's Contract as Bus Driver/Janitor is up at the end of June, and doesn't begin again until Mid August, so that will be No Check in August (they pay midmonth the following month of hours) we'll have to deal with on her side of the income. Soooo, no extra parts for a while. I still have new Wheel Bearings and Seals that Ordered a few months ago to get slapped on her and the Dart anyway. Once her checks start coming in again then I can get new rotors ordered too just to have them before they discontinue them too. Got a Set of Clearance Break Pads for the Aspy and Dart too (Same pads).
