I see on TTI's website they list a 70-74 e body header isthe same part number for theirs that crosses to the 79-89 m body

I have a set of e body challenger headers local for cheap. Will they fit my 5th?

They don't appear to have the #7 tube that goes way up and to the side.. ?

Hard to tell by the pic but I have doubts they would fit. At the very least, they'd hang pretty low. Appear to be ones that go UNDER the center link, not over it but I could be wrong.

I have Dougs on mine, not cheap, and could have been made to fit better.

mine I think are #D-543 Dougs. Fit nice except would not clear the factory transmission lines without bending them. I was not at all happy about that. They're over 600 bucks.

Did you notice it said no power steering? These headers have 3 tubes on the drivers side that go under the drag link. You must remove the link to install, and those 3 tubes will get smashed on the ground. Ask me how I know, lol. Also that high looping pipe on the drivers side loves to heat the brake booster and fry spark plug wires. Save your money to buy better ones.

If your on a budget get the cheap summit brand A body headers. Like 130$. I have them on my fifth ave and they fit fine. Use copper gaskets for no leaks, strip the shipping paint off and paint them with bbq paint, use allen head header bolts and put a spark plug sock on the number 6 and 8 plug wires. Finish it up with the Jegs brand dual exhaust kit for an A body.

The headers you posted will fit. And with power steering...... I have the exact pair on my fifth ave. Any questions shoot me a message.

I ran a set of Summit headers years ago, like what you posted. Jasperjacko is right, there were tubes that ran under the draglink and they hung down very low. Those tubes were smashed within a month and a manhole cover ended up ripping a hole in them.

Cheap headers that fit? Now that's funny!
A quote worth quoting (and so very true).

As far as headers go, most A-body headers will work – more so than anything (other than an official FMJ body) else will. I have seen B and E body headers fit, but not that well.

If you are going to go with headers, I recommend on saving your pocket change and get a good set, with a good return policy, to begin with.
Then don’t cut anything until you are happy that they fit OK.

Investing into some good high temp paint, good gaskets and good header bolts, is also a very good idea.

I put E-body TTI headers on my 360 Aspen wagon and they were probably easier to install than the TTI A-body headers on my 360 Dart Sport! F-bodies have more room in the engine bay than an A-body. They are both race cars with manual steering and rerouted trans lines. But everything else is OEM. Some A-body headers have a seperate #7 tube which may cause clearance issues on an an FMJ body. TTI also clears Milodon deep pans and doesn't require an angled oil filter adapter.
