Just got in the forecast for Friday/Saturday.
Everyone is certain we will get 2-4” of rain those two days. They also said the freeze line will be right in our neighborhood during the same time. The big IF is will be if the 2-4” come down as rain only, will it come down as rain then freeze, will it come down as 2-4” of ice, Or (most likely) a combination of the above.
Fun!

OK justwondering,,,,,,,,,,,,,rub it in a little more:D
Now that it finally stopped snowing,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,grand total of 12". Snowed so hard most of the day it was a white out. The drive home was a blast, not. Had to take the interstate. Barely one lane driveable and it had sections of wash board ice. There was hardly any traffic (thank you!) and the max speed was 35 mph. Never so glad to get home and peel my fingers off the steering wheel. Of course the wind had to come in, 20-30 mph to twist the blade a bit more. My street hasn't been plowed yet so at some point will have to go back out and snowblow the end of the drive and by the mailbox. After doing the rest, hope I have enough energy to even get dressed to go out. I am BEAT.

Best part is, another couple inches is predicted for tomorrow. Let's see, the forecast for this snowfall was 5-8" (got 12") so hope the 2" isn't really another 6".:(

Which is why I live in Texas.
I'm sure when its 100F or more here, you can tell me how wonderfully cool and pleasant it is this summer.

All depends on what type of summer we get this year.
In the 40 years I've lived here in Wisconsin, have seen as low as -40 in the winter and +109 in the summer. One heck of a temperature spread, ain't it?:p
Awesome, got another 2" of snow overnight along with all the snow drifts and the forecast calls for another 2-4" later on today and,,,,,,temps in the single digits. Make it stop, PLEASE! AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There, I'm OK now.:D

We got down to 53F last night and headed for 80 today. 20+ degrees above normal.
wind gusts are 22 to 25 mph.
Scratch that -- weather guy says 35 to 47 mph gusts.

Means I can't cut trees today.
The fence is compromised on the north end of the property and I promise not to fix it until some of this warm are can stream north to you. Maybe Bud (north of me in Oklahoma) can start his fan so it pushes it to you quicker. Then Darth-Car (Ohio) might be able to use his lunch break to encourage it as well.
Team effort, don't cha know. :D

Thanks for anything you can do!
On the brighter side of the news, the predicted 2-4" of snow for today,,,,,,,,didn't.:)
Single digits next couple days but I hear the 30's are on the way for next week. That's great except what always comes with warmer weather this time of year? You got it,,,,,,snow.:(

Saw that on the weather last night. Hopefully you guys stay warm enough it end up being just liquid precip that stays liquid.
We've got totally clear and sunny, 20 degrees and the wind is maybe 2 mph. Just spent 3 hours outside tidying up the snow. It was too cold and windy to get worried about neatness last Tuesday after the foot of that crap fell and, it doesn't feel all that bad. That's just wrong thinking 20 degrees is warm............................
Was nice to be outdoors for awhile. A slight help for the cabin fever, since I don't have a cow bell.;)

Well, after a month in the deep freeze (for here), we are supposed to be back to our normal winter. Above freezing temperatures starting tomorrow and up to 6 inches of rain between Monday and Thursday.

Weather guys may have been right, nice and icey for the morning dog walk. Nothing better than trying to hold on to a Collie on a leash and not fall down when you hit a slick spot....lol.
Supposed to freezing rain all day today.

Had another bright sunny day with no wind and mid 20's. Not too bad in the grand scheme of things. Just add another 50 or 60 degrees to the temps and we'd be doing just fine:cool:

Seems we're going to get in on that ice thing, starting tomorrow afternoon. Oh joy of joys..........

Today topped out at 46 and drizzled all day.
bleh... cold and weary day.

But winter is just about over, thank goodness. Tomorrow is 72 and Friday is 74. Friday is a bust due to yet another doctor appointment. I have 4 of those in the next 2 weeks. Then got my notice for Jury duty the first week of February.

But I see blue skys and warm weather coming my way.

Part way through day 5 of fog. Got 36 and drizzling. One good part is, we haven't had any wind at all for a week straight. Very unusual around here to not have at least some wind.
Since it's been above freezing every day and most nights, the snow pack is about 1/2 what it was after that 12" snowfall on the 10th. Sadly, another 2-5" predicted for this coming Wednesday :(
It's getting really tough to keep a positive attitude and have enthusiasm to do anything, not to mention just plain stay awake with this dreary weather lately. Only another 4 or 5 months to go until the car can come back out. Should just fly by, yes?
