One of my trucks has a holley on it and it's never run right but I can't hardly blame the carb when i don't know the history of it. Most of my stuff has thermoquads on them which ironically I've never had much luck tuning when they don't run right. I probably shouldn't have said that...
Pressure washer with degreaser is the quickest most thorough way but i never clean my engine unless I really need to.
Stay away from wiring harnesses too because the wrap likes to get loose with age and isn't water tight.
I'd hold off until you're doing the intake swap.
The big plus about the performer intake is its aluminum and lighter then the stock factory intake the ports are smaller and better matched to the 2bbl heads. But they're getting up there in price.
Don't forget to look at converting to normal electronic ignition when you do the carb change.
You don't hear much about 9 1/4 when it comes to these cars because they came in bigger vehicles and don't fit. Not sure what the Dakota/Durango size is tho.
They do come up more often in other applications where they are a direct swap.
They are hit and miss. Sometimes they have good short cuts.
For these cars my Haynes manual has gotten more use then the factory ones and that's a first for those lol. It helps that it was largely based on a Diplomat.
You've been sleeping at the wheel, I posted that 2 weeks ago lol. Glad somebody got it because it's been tempting me.

Pretty straight forward. Stick a jack or something under it so it won't drop all the way when you unbolt the straps. You might also need it down part way to disconnect thd hoses and sending unit unless you can get to that from the side first. If there are screws or clips around the filler when...
Especially with the pattern of the first one you could get away with taping off the chrome and carefully cutting the sides to match the proper ones. I did notice some on ebay you could see the number stamped into them so that should help a search.
The fillers and imperial only parts ususlly sell pretty fast if they're realistically priced.
The aluminum bumpers sell good too because in some climates they corrode and peel.
If it still has fuel injection and you can get it running people like those parts and if it has the factory conversion...
Wow. I know buy cheap sell high is how places like that stay in business because it's not like they have non stop cash rolling in but they'd probably charge that much for only one part off it.
You could get more parting it out yourself as long as there's some good stuff on it. It might be worth...
I was looking at that the other day. Some of the printers are capable of duplicating and have a scanner too. There's so much out there I might buy a chiepie printer that has a good rating to play around with and go from there. At least it wouldn't be a big investment lost if it ends up being...
Call my crazy but I've got enough crap I need for various projects that I'm seriously thinking of starting to mess with 3d printers.
Maybe I'll start with some of the software to see how easy it is to draw the stuff up.
Before investing your own money in it it might be better to see if an existing company that sells clips online would make and sell them at their cost. Otherwise once they've made the 3D printer drawing for them they can add it to their collection and sell it themselves so it's like you'd be...
Yes the bracket at the transmission is different for 727 and the last kick down rod is different also. Same with dipstick tube if it doesn't come with one.
From The 1970 Hamtramck Registry Home Page
"To reduce road noises and axle vibrations before they can be transferred to the leaf springs." Similar to what it says about the front bushings.
I think they'd be a bit longer then normal shackle sides to make up for the bend but it's not that hard to cut a strip of metal and drill holes in it. I was thinking the same thing but that the bending would be the harder part.
The iso thing was sipposed to be to isolate the suspension for better ride. I don't know if drain holes would be good or not. They'd let water out but also let more in.
I don't know how much of a demand there really is for the police shackle and mount.
There must have been a reason for it to...
My solution was to go 727. But I figure hey I have these transmissions I might as well try doing a rebuild on one of them! I'll have to watch for the Tom Hand book.
