Wow, cool, congrats. And to your wife (on birthday, of course). And enjoy the espresso. :) You work for Kaast now? That company's headquater seems to be only 125 miles ride away, so, whenever you have to visit head office in Germany, let me know and we meet someplace.:)

    Engine Bay Cleaning

I'd say pressure washer is the worst. Tooth-, steel and brass brush, couple cans of brake cleaner and lots of rags.

    Listing for part numbers

Some of those interchange numbers are implemented in online stores. I tend to use Rockauto first searching, re-searching part numbers, cross checking on partsbooks back-and-forth. Buckle up is good advice. :) But, that's only on some more basic technical parts. Moldings and such niceties are...

Aftermarket Fuel Tank Sending Unit Compatibility

I built a tester for myself using the following resistors (found that years ago somewhere in the interweb) Full - approx. 10-13 ohms Mid - approx 30-35 ohms Empty - approx 70-75 ohms IIRC, I measured the gauge on my 69 vehicles some years ago with approx 10 ohms. Result is, that you'll have 20...

Aftermarket Fuel Tank Sending Unit Compatibility

You are right. 1/ (1/R1 + 1/R2) My mistake. Then it'll be challenging to get proper values. Don't they have a formula editor? :D

Aftermarket Fuel Tank Sending Unit Compatibility

Resistor in parallel with empty tank will give around 54 ohms. (75+33)/2 -> 54 ohms. That could work.

Error in Wiring Diagram M-Body Hazard switch?

Ahh, that solves the mystic switching puzzle. :) Thanks, Aspen500. But... driving half a Chevy... Edit: on the other hand - this opens up quite some possibilities to buy the part for less than half the price in Germany to do some dissecting and testing :)

Error in Wiring Diagram M-Body Hazard switch?

Neither do I. Looking at the switch pictures of the different version at Rockauto - w / wo tilt and w / wo cornering lights these switches look utterly different... (beside the additional connector). Weired wiring. :)

Error in Wiring Diagram M-Body Hazard switch?

I might be missing something, but I'm somehow a little lost. My 79 LeBaron with tilt steering wheel acts like it should (according to the service manual): -> Hazard Switch on -> all lights flash (correct) -> additionally apply brake -> all lights ON (correct for tilt steering according to...

Lately, I heard of a lot of "returned packages" (to the US, by some customs agents), because it (the product) was suspected not to comply with rule blah-blah... One example: if steel products are not declared as "made in USA" they will most likely not find their way to Europe, because Chinese...

I sincerely hope they do (build a very nice car snd push the 'limits'). Myself, i'd probably love to have all those newbuilt muscles, but i also lack funds and space. Germany is a 'small' country, definitely lacking space and thinking bigger... So, i'll stick with the old iron.

Jumper cables? Nah...there is a better way now.

Ticks? Hate them. Our cat always brings them inside, luckily, they suck his blood and he couldn't care less, obviously. Most superfluous things ever. And right next: forse flies, mosquitos and such blood suckers. Bah.
