Bingo, I figured I'd cut/grind off the flange and just weld a flat plate joining the upper and lower sections. Easy-peazy!

Finally, some updates after getting my Holley oil pan installed. The Holley motor mounts are juuuuuuust a bit too far back for a bolt-in fit. The pan just barely hits the welded seam of the K-frame. A little cutting and welding will easily clear this up. Overall, not a massive problem. Even if...

Did a little grinding and it fits pretty well. I need to install the windage tray and pickup, but I believe it'll be fine. I lost my long 14mm 12pt 1/2" drive socket need for these friggin ARP head stud nuts. That'll stop you dead in your tracks.

Holley did respond that with a polite, although predictable response that they're aware of the issue but this was not considered during initial production. Sounds like they'll alter the molds, but that'll be a new revision down the line. Time to get out the die grinder!

I'm not going super huge. I'll probably end up with a 295 or 315 at the most. Since I'll be doing a decent amount of driving, I don't want to set this up so it only fits a $350-$400 tire. I plan on LOTS of burnouts. But, I at least want to get a decent drag tire in there when I need it...

Yes, good idea. I explored the method of spreading the leafs outward in the back a little to help with lateral stability. However, I'll have solid mounts in front and solid sliders in the back. I'll build it parallel and if I still have any lateral movement, I'll build a panhard bar or something.

That's an excellent point about locating the axle. I'm swapping in a Ford 8.8, so I'll be able to properly locate that guy a little farther back.

I think you nailed it on the trunk seal. It's not exact, but I bet that'll work great.

For what it's worth, I received a message on 1/11/22 from MoTech Performance that "We don’t have those yet, it’ll probably be about 4 months until we get around to the G3 Hemi stuff". So, no Hemi mounts until May 2022. Suck, but that's life. I'll probably buy the Holley mounts and see how well...

Yes, this is for the 4 door M-body of the 1988 variety. It seemed that a lot of the seals are gonna be of the "Make yer own" variety. The door stuff seems to be pretty model specific though. I'm sure a little creativity will get me there, but I wish there was a "Add to Cart" for the exact...
