Have you checked for slop in the trans output / yoke bushing and or yoke to shaft clearance. Had a very similar issue once. Replaced bearing, bushing, and yoke... smooth as silk.

I have rear sway bar links and the brackets for attachment to the shock plates. Bought new some years ago from Firm Feel. $100.00

Had a little time to do some test assembly on the 408, and found my pistons are about .010 above the deck surface. Turns out my stroker kit is for a la block, and I have a magnum. Is a thicker head gasket a legitimate fix for the situation? Hoping to hear feedback from all the engine builder...
