Either they wanted them for some other vehicle, sold them off separately, or they had intended to put in something else. Makes it easier to put in a Magnum 5.9L/360 and an A500/A518 overdrive automatic; half the work is done. Things happen in life, and let's face it, as nice as this car appears to be, and the appreciation that we have for it, is not shared by the general population (needless to add here, but I will add: to their detriment, and speaks volumes to their ignorance).

It's been purchased. The plan is to restore it to factory specs, with a slant six and all; from what I've read.
