360 heads

I have a set of 360 heads with a casting#4071051, & was wondering if they have any potential. I also have a like new set of stock replacement 2.02/1.60 valves. These heads were redone, but have been sitting around for years. I would at least clean, lap, & replace the seals before install. So if I go that far, I might as well port match the heads. The heads on my 360 are #4072596, which I read are the better heads. Should I just do a quicky clean up on 051's & put the big valves in the 596's? Or do up the 051's with the big valves? The previous owner purchased a 360 long block & had it installed. Thanks, Larry

There's not gonna be , or your not gonna see a lot of differance between
1:88's & 2:02's . Are ya building some big hp ?

Not really, just something to scratch the itch a little better until I get my BB done! Just want to use up what I have laying around (minimal $ spent). The Sheppard book says that's the next step. I also have a Crane fireball cam & lifters that might find their way in there too! Depends how the surgically repaired back, & drug supply hold out! Thanks, Larry

I believe the correct casting number is 4377308 . They're newer style but not all that new 360 heads , closed chambered , or refered to as heart shaped heads .
