I'd be all over that...but I don't have 25 bucks, let alone 225. What ratio is in the second one you posted?

there were no gears with the second one,it is sold but i'd sell the other one without the gears for 225.00.

The fact that it has a groove for the ABS exciter ring means it came out of a truck. It won't work with 2.2 or 2.4 gear ratios, since those gears weren't available in trucks, but anything from 2.74 all the way to 4.56 will fit just fine.

The only things to really look for with the 8-1/4" axles are that the axle-shaft splines changed around 1994 or so from 27 to 29 splines, so they won't work with FMJ axle shafts. Also, the early gears (starting in 1969, I think it only lasted until '72 or so) use an oddball long crush sleeve that seats on both pinion bearings. It's extremely hard to find; I have an NOS one and I have no idea why.
