All of that mold . . . will buff out.

Would be nice if it was a white car with blue interior (I'm not a fan of red).
A non-smoker car, as well

If you are talking about the exterior, it probably isn"t mold. More like caked on dust or mud. My red Mirada looked similar, and I was under the impression that it needed to be completely repainted. One day, just hanging around the car after I brought it home, I wet a finger, and rubbed the paint. The black specks ( which I through were rust spots) just wiped right off. It could be mold, but wash it first with a strong soap (like dish washing soap). You'd be surprised what may be underneath. He is going to pressure wash it, it will be interesting to see what it looks like afterwards. I don't personally like metal flake paint, but if its in good shape, go with it until you can get it re-painted.

In general, it is not common to have mold grow on the outside of vehicles; interiors or trunks, definitely.

That would have been pollen, tree sap, and insect poop, probably with dirt and dust stuck to it. There are car detailing products specifically made to take that off, but it is still not mold. Mold meeds something to feed off of, and car paint is not suitable for that.

i did post some pictures of what I did with ky Mirada a while ago.

That's an 88 and should have been blue vinyl before it aged.
I can't stand that white and blue roof color combination either.
