I looked through my collection of 80+ TQ's and only found two that had an solenoid on them. Both were 9097s (76 400 w/Lean Burn, which rate a 2 of 3 stars). One of which is brand new (NOS) – which I want to keep untouched and I took pictures of the other one:
Note: flash shadow makes it appear there are more than 2 wires present.
This one has a hole for the Transducer (Throttle Position Sensor) and is missing (sold), and has an at-idle contact switch. The switch can be left be, if not wanted.
I know I have another solenoid (pre-Lean Burn) – but couldn't find it.
Also, I found this:
If wanted, I can trade yours for this one. It is not in the best condition, but better than most original 40 year old ones, are.
