Kiddo stripped out his alternator cinch-down bolt....or the threads let go in his aftermarket alternator...not sure....

Anyone know the stock sized bolt for cinching the alt in place (not the pivot bolt, the lock down bolt)?

I am thinking we can use a threadsert kit sized for the stock sized bolt....

So when we took the alternator out to do this, we found it was making some baaaad bearings noises.

OReileys replaced it under warranty (two years old).

The one they had on the shelf made some noise so they ordered another in, and it was good.

Ironically, the "new" reman one also has a helicoil in it.....I know its a common issue.
