I got the driver side cat back section in place. That is a muffler under the rear floor area, the over axle pipe and polished tip. I thought I could do it w/o major removals. Tuff luck! The shock had to go and the rear spring shackle (factory one). So the shock is never easy, but I got it. The rear shackle broke the lower bolt. A 3 foot breaker bar will do that. So luckily I have a set of the shackle lifts (cheezy is a cheezy does). In '79 this is how the back would get jacked anyway. So the pipe is mocked in place. Tomorrow is the pass side and shackle change out for that side too. I did not go all cheeze- only one hole taller than stock. That will help clear the N50s a a little better

I hear ya about the lift.....I'd love one.
Doing everything in a driveway sucks....don't even have a garage.

That little 3 ton jack is a locking jackstand. I have jack stands under the front frame rails. I just added this morning a passenger side jackstand at the rear. The right rear of the car was off the ground defying laws of gravity? Much like the roadrunner, I never studied law.

Passenger side went much easier than the driver side.
