Whats not to love about 700 hp and 16 mpg ? Awesome.

After the three a week on Powerblock, er a, I mean LS-a-thon TV, or whatever it's called now, it was actually refreshing to see a Pontiac that was receiving a Pontiac power plant!no one at Chrysler reads, or listens to these sites. They're another company that doesn't know what to do with a couple pennies in their pockets. After selling off the most profitable branch of the company (General Dynamics) to keep from going belly up in the '80's, they began buying up troubled automobile companies, which didn't do much for their reputation. The only gem they didn't get rid of was Cummins. They bought the Rootes group (even England wouldn't lend them any $$$),Mitsubishi, before they learned how to build good cars that didn't start rusting on the showroom floor, Lamborghini, did I miss any? Rather, Than adversarial treatment of the aftermarket, Chrysler could take a lesson from GM & work with them to get cheaper parts out there for our brand of choice. Instead, we rely on each other & salvage yards for our sources of parts & ideas.

I'm just grateful they didn't air more of the footage shot. I knew the camera adds ten pounds, but damn if it didn't add 10 degrees of fury to my normally..uh...people-friendly appearance. It was by pure luck that we all met up, was trying to meet with them on my move out to Kentucky. I've met Freiburger before, at Bonneville. Laid back, exactly as you see in the video. Finnegan is just as cool. Both guys spent about an hour or so helping me shoot the car, what I thought was a roasted starter instead was some loose and some rodent-eaten wires.

I don't watch much if any TV and usually only with the too cold weather or injury do I get the opportunity to get a lot of viewing time. What these guys do and guys like Stacy David is go out and find a car of lost hope and bring it home. If I had a car trailer and cash every time I drove past some mongrel mopar there would be a problem. I guess for the safety of the rest of the public, I've only driven a few spent cars home and only in the last 5 or 6 years have graduated to a good trailer. Still a good day searching for parts or part cars or other mopar redneck lawn ornaments ( AKA: Plymouth on blocks on the front lawn). Getting home with new found mopar fun on a wing and a prayer is one of the greatest feelings.
