Thanks for the compliments and the welcome. I am really happy to have found this car after such a long search. The gentleman that owned it kept it in a climate controlled garage since he bought it in the mid 80's (2nd owner) and he never drove it in winter. I was leery about buying a car from the rust belt but the man was completely honest about the description and the car has no more than surface rust under the car. He could not have been better to deal with. The only noticeable flaw with the appearance is a broken top trim panel on the drivers door, which the J-body cars are notorious for. He gave me a NOS piece to repair it that he bought back in '91. This is the first Cordoba I've seen with the landau top that left the window in the C-pillar exposed, which I really like.
Thought I'd post a pic of the window sticker to show how the car is optioned and why dealers like to sell options on a new car. $226 for the digital radio is one that caught my eye but the option box I was glad to see checked was the sure grip differential. I would have rather had PW and PL than the rear window defrost but you take them as you find them. At least the Cruise control still works since it was a long drive back home. Thanks for the welcome and hope I can add to the discussion from time to time.
