Is my 600 Holley to small?

I wish I had someone with your knowledge A/J, guiding me along during my first build. It was a rebuilt 360 with smogger pistons and a 484 MP Purple cam. That motor went into my heavy ass Fifth Avenue with 3.55 gears. What a PIG! Boy did I learn fast.

Hyup, I did things like that too.
But worse; 340 heads and cam onto smoger-teen, with factory TC and 2.94s in a 1970 Monaco/tank. The only time that combo did anything was passing on the hiway, and even then 60 was too fast for first and not fast enough for second. Yeah that was a loser-combo. Top of first was not bad.... at about 45/50.We all gotta start somewhere.
But I see you musta come a long way from there, by your current combo.
