10s would be nice but I want this buzz'n 1/2 dozen to be a eco - no mical ride. The 7s will be just wide enough. still need to find the ultra rare sure grip unit for the 7 1/4........ I'll pay a reasonable $$$ for one even one needing a rebuild

Oh come on, 45 year old bias plies should be just fine yet! :D

Side bar: We've got a customer with a '69 Coupe Deville that he bought brand new. We work on it from time to time and he had the original spare, never out of the trunk even once, blow up one day. Just ripped wide open! He said it sounded like a grenade went off in the trunk, lol.

Is the 7 1/4 rebuild-able? I never had one before to know. I know the late 70`s original 8 1/4 `s were cone type sure grips. Some have the cones machined and added washers to rebuild.
