I have a R 79 Cordoba circle track car, the front suspension has Torsion bars and a full sway bar that runs from lower control arm to lower control arm. When I did research on the front suspension most of the Cordobas had the had no torsion bars but used the split type front sway bar. Does anyone know the reason there were 2 different front suspensions on the 79 Cordoba? Thanks

The 79 Cordoba is a B body and has longitudnal mounted torsion bars. They go from the lower control arms to the frame by the trans cross member. The control arm trailing links extend foward.

The 80 and up Cordoba is a J body and has transverse mounted torsion bars. They are bent like an L and are mounted to the front underside of the k-frame. No trailing links.
