WANTED red plastic speedometer pinion adapter needed

you can use the earlier metal style adapter instead of the red plastic one but you will have to change the cable and gear. most of the plastic ones crack anyhow.

The parts don't crack they're just harder to find compared to the old style.
Did you try a dealer for the housing? Some of that stuff they still have and for decent prices.

i have all the parts, metal gear holder, the gear, i just need a cable or the red adapter.i don't have a parts store that will look a cable up by ends n length so here iam

Funny, they don`t crack??? I replaced two of them because of cracks. They get stuck in the trans and get broke from people trying to remove it.

What year is it? One for a 76 volare with cruise should work for a f body.. Or if your cruise control no longer works then replace with one cable. Should be 59 inches long.

I've never had or heard of that problem before you said anything. I have seen problems of the old style cracking at the metal pin but even that seems rare.

How long is your old one? NAPA shows it to be 63 inches long.

Many times the aftermarket will use one size to fit multiple applications so thats why they make them longer. Glad you got it to work.
