This car was originally from East Hartford Connecticut, A/C really isn't that important up there, I've seen two other no A/C cars up there but thats it (and one had been converted to A/C) even in CT people said its rareThe no-A/C cars, the heater case and firewall changed in ’80 (I think) and the ’80 and up heater case design also changed (no more right side outside vent) – which is a shame.
You are correct, the newer M-body's without A/C is not that common and rare in the Southern states. My wagon can from up-state New York – so no A/C makes a bit more sense (I guess). Oklahoma is a state where A/C is needed (so what was I thinking when I bought the wagon?)
