Put my air cleaner on. The 400 have a Holley 3310, adaptor plate and rpm intake. Hight is 7.5 inches from the stick and top of lid on photo. Looks to tall to fit under hood. Hope the Sniper efi dont ned the plate or I have to go back to factory intake. Input welcome.

Brake Master cylinder & booster improvement (using the K car parts)

I have the 50- 3122. Booster and master cylindern in the same box but whitout reservoar. And ofcours the one I have out of a b- van, do not fit.. Did a little measurements. The hole in de booster rod is 4 mm larger then fork and its bolt. The fork is 4.5 mm wider then the rod. An easy fix.

The two photos in post 9, I think, is from my Volare 77 original slant car. Now 400 bb and hp exhoust manifolds. The original booster fit but tight as you kan see. Not possible to remove valve cover. I also got a tandem booster but think it was for a Daytona turbo, not sure. The hole at the end...

Lots of good info BudW and others on the 8.8 swap! Delite or not to delite the ISO-stuff is the question. Time, cost, local parts access and other consequences is all parameters in the equation. In stock form the car has always had the issue with non centerd axle (7.25) in wheelhouse. I did...

Yes, the 3.73 vill stay for now and be tested. I try to keep the project move forward and not to let it stop trying to omtimize every little thing at the same time. Done that mistake before. Not time to buy rims and tiers yet but the interest is growing. Like the steel police wheels in semi...

    Volare 77 /6 to 400

Well, lucky me!(I hope..) Today I went to the nerest used parts yard having a 8.8 just 20 miles away. The guy told me it was a -93 Explorer 3L73. Yes it got drums but seems complete, minus prop shaft, and looks nice for it's age. Will pick it up tomorrow and do a clouser inspection. Hope to be...
