Are you looking for police or non-police exhaust manifolds (which are different)?

The casting numbers for '80-89 (non-police) manifolds are:
4173140 or 4173143 for Right side.
For Left side is 4095244 (with oxygen sensor hole).

I don't have any – but eBay or a local salvage yard might be of help.

Doesn't have to be police issued manifolds,I didn't know there was a difference but I shouldn't be surprised lol. Is there a physical difference other than the casting number and the oxygen sensor?

Just took mine off for headers. Whatever that spring thing is on the passenger side (I just cant remember its name or function) doesnt work..it just spins freely.

Shoot. If you were close enough I'd throw in the entire dual exhaust system I took off. Just need to repair one section of pipe.

The police 318 engines use 360 cylinder heads, intake and exhaust manifolds – which have larger ports than what 318's use.

It doesn't do that much (if anything) to install 360/police 318 exhaust manifolds onto a 318. Mainly the 318 exhaust ports on cylinder head are smaller and will still be the bottleneck. Think of blowing through a soda straw. Now crimp a area (any area). Air flow will be limited by the bottleneck – so without porting or installing 340/360 (or 318 police) heads onto a 318 – the 360/318 police exhaust manifolds wont be of much help.

On the other side of that, putting 318 exhaust manifolds onto a 340/360/318 police engine would be "crimping that straw".

I had a pair of '84 318 police exhaust manifolds - but they got lost when I moved several years back.

If you're willing to part with them let me know. Are they off your AHB car?

BrotherGood, before they leave your possession can you record and send me (or post here) the 7-digit casting numbers off of them, please?
Thank you, BudW

Still need to unbolt the down pipe that was cut from the passenger's side manifold, but that'll take no time at all.

Many Thanks!
It looks like the Left side casting number is 4173166 ?
Can't tell if last two numbers are a "6" or an "8".
It appears the Left side cast date (not the machining date) is 4/27/85.

The Right side looks like casting number is 4173156 ?

It also looks like you might have the ultra hard to find A.I.R. pipe caps installed (maybe):

Is it worth getting rid of those caps and welding something in place? Would there be a issue using these not with A.I.R.,since it has a hole below each port would it leak?

The factory caps are by far the easiest method (quick and easy).
As long as you don't live in an emissions Nazi state/community, this method works as well:

I have purchased some materials (steel and header gasket material sheets) to make a bunch of caps – but it is on my long list of “things to do”.
I bought the materials 3+ years ago, and lot looked at it sense.
