It's just July 4th anywhere else

Yep, only in the greatest country in the world does July 4th mean anything! My flags are flying high and proud, as are the ones on almost every other house on my street.
Everything is open again around here but alas, most of the fireworks were canceled months ago already. Exception is Mosinee, they've got the full deal going on at River Park, including fireworks. I think the municipal airport, just across the lake a couple miles from my house, is also doing fireworks as usual, but all the other normal things that normally go with it, aren't. Hope so, I can see those from my house!
My favorite flag is the one at Mount View Mobil, a couple miles north at the next interchange. They'e got the biggest flag I've ever seen. it's got to be at least 25 feet long, maybe more. It's just freaking huge, flying at least 50 feet high.

I don't know how I missed this post. Our normal location for watching fireworks was closed (as well as our second and third location) because of the virus, so I took family to a new location in Mustang, OK.
The town had was open to firing fireworks off within town limits (which by itself was unusual) and had no “official fireworks display”. The city park and about 6-square miles of town was “open season” from 6 pm until midnight, on the 3rd and 4th.
Wow. I hadn't seen so much fireworks and as far as the eye could see going off, and all of it was within the “danger zone”. We watched this for about two hours and finally got tired and went home.
On the way home, someone shot off something on a neighborhood side street and it fell over. The projectile zipped sideways, hit another car, ricocheted and popped/exploded above our minivan (which our windows were down). That made my britches a smidge dirtier as well as the other occupants in the vehicle (I'm guessing).
Other than that, that event might have been one of the most enjoyable 4th's I've been to.
Note: on our way to Mustang, you could see fireworks going off across the horizon in front of you. Almost was surreal.
