Wander Wagon
Well-Known Member
Hey guys,
I've been on the A Bodies and B Bodies forums building a couple of Darts, A Valiant , and now a 64 Plymouth convertible. This is my recently acquired Wagon to haul parts in !!
I bought it in Alabama a couple of months ago...went out there and drove her home.
Since I got it, I have Tinted the windows, replaced windshield, Painted the Grill, Cleaned & Polished her up, New dual exhaust, New carb and set up the trans linkages properly, New tires, 245-60 rear 215 70 front. still have a Power steering leak to fix, and i'm putting a dash pad cover on. I had to fab up some new mounts for the dash assembly as all the original tabs were broken, and it was flopping.I had the radio working, and like a dumb A-- I tried to put a cassette in, now its stuck in CASSETTE mode, even though the tape is out, so i have to
that out.
I'm really enjoying driving it now, it just purs along at cruising speed on the highway at 75 like a kitten. its a 318 with a 340/360 aluminum intake and a 4 bbl. stock manifolds and duals out at the rear axle. I have a woody gas cap coming from ebay, and an overflow bottle ( mine has a crack).
it has 81,000 original miles. last owner hit a deer on the right front corner, and it has a scrape in the passenger side back door or it would be minty vintage !!!
