it's going to be a basic build,

crank is a Mopar Performance 3.46'' 8 bolt flange.
BME aluminum rods with JE domed pistons. should be 12.5-13:1.
half filled 340 block, ARP main studs.
everything else stays the same as the 360''. cam, heads, intake.... only thing that will change is compression and obviously bore/stroke.
i plan on building fender exit headers. i already bought the W2 header flanges. good chance i will do a step header, 1-5/8 to 1-3/4.

is there any interest in my 340 W2 race engine build? if there is, i will take photos and document the build.
Lets see, uh cold outside, crazy covid, crazy election, Yeah no, we don't want to see no awesome engine builds.

Not much to update yet. Got my heads back from RAMM, Jesse Robinson in Ontario.

i called the machine shop about my block and rotating assembly. Hopefully end of the week he will be done. If he’s done, I’ll go Saturday and pick it up.

Nice...what did you have RAMM do with your heads?

not much really. i sent them back just to make sure everything was still good. since a connecting rod decided to come apart, i wanted to make sure nothing was wrong with my heads. never know what happens when metal is jumping around in the engine.
2 valves got replaced. other then that, good to go.

I'm sorry if this is a duplicate of another conversation, but I'm curious what valve/spring combo you are running.

My W2s are the race Econo versions, so I have the following:
1) VALVES
Intake - Manley 11702-8, 2.02" intake, 11/32" stem, 5.240" long - Pro-Flo Severe Duty Series, W2 Long Valve
Exhaust - Manley 11703-8, 1.60" exhaust, 11/32" stem, 5.255" long - Race-Flo Severe Duty Series, W2 Long Valve

2) SPRINGS
CompCams - 26056, Beehive, 1.454" OD base, 1.185" OD top, 400 lbs./in. rate, 1.100" Coil Bind Height, 160 lbs@1.800", 420 lbs@1.150"

This is meant to support the custom ground hydraulic roller flat tappet cam: XR292HR-12, SER# E 8961-14, GRIND# CRS 13084B / 3039B HR112+4

It was a bit of a challenge to find the right valve spring for the long valve setup and a hydraulic roller cam. I opted for the Beehive to shave off a little weight and bring some stability into the valvetrain, although that's largely based on industry marketing as opposed to any 1st hand experience on my part.

I'm curious why you are using a hydraulic roller cam as apposed to a solid? This is coming from a guy that still uses flat tappet cams so its just my curiosity.

My mistake I thought that was your cam, I didn't see who posted.
