Hello to all! I am the proud owner of '89 5th Ave with only 40,000 miles on the clock. She is a one owner car that was delivered to Brandon Chrysler Plymouth in Tampa, FL. I live in Daytona Beach and found her on Tampa craigslist. I bought her from a family who's mother passed away and they had no idea of the value. I bought her for $1200!

I am also on Allpar forums, but wanted to join this one too.

Nice score! It looks like it spent a good part if its life in a garage or at least protected from the Florida sun.

Wow! Quite the find for $1200. I just brought my 1980 Diplomat home, with 167,XXX miles. I thought I got a deal for what I paid, but you definitely have me beat here. Aren't those seats so comfortable? I always loved those! Again, nice score man!

A nice find.

I was told by a Chrysler rep around 1990 or so, that once they knew the car line was going to stop production at end of model year, that some items, like wire hubcap inventory, was used up and not re-ordered - sense those hubcaps came on and fit M-bodies only.

So, yea, those could very well have been the original hub caps for this car.

Thank You all for your replies! Yes, I had the car at Michael's garage on Palmetto and Orange Ave. Yes, these are the original "premium" wheel covers. I found all the wire covers on ebay, but no mounting hardware to be found anywhere. She was assembled on 11-30-88 at 12pm in Kenosha, WI.

I am very lucky because all the parts that needed to be replaced from sitting so long have been. The interior is a perfect 10, no wear at all. Car still smells new.

I don't know how I stumbled onto this post but on the hub caps base 5th Avenues got those, the higher package that had the power antenna (and opera lights and wood on the window switch panels on the older ones) got the wire hub caps.

Great car. amazing deal.
Those are the same wheel covers that came on my '82 Cordoba. I am always on the look out, for one's in better condition than mine!
