We have already been hit with lake effect and arctic blast, I can't wait to see what happens when winter officially starts.

Man does that look familiar!
That is the sucky part. Looks like that outside and winter doesn't even start until this Wednesday. Ever get that feeling of dread that it's going to be a loooooooooooong winter? By long I mean it'll continue well into official spring. Grumble, whine, sigh, complain, frown.
Hope I'm wrong on that one though.

Funny you should mention top bedroom Justwondering. That's what the dormer is, a 12X20 bedroom with a skyscraper like 6 ft ceiling height and closets under the front roof of the house. Actually it's THE bedroom as there's only just the one. I think the people that built and lived in this house (original part built in 1946) where short. The old part of the first floor has 7' ceilings, the addition (late '60) on the first floor does have 8ft though. I think the cold transmits through the block into the floor, even though I have 1" rigid insulation on the "foundation" and going about a foot into the ground, covered by a foundation coating. My foundation is only 12-18" deep and made of big rocks and part of it sits right on solid granite so it's not going anywhere. In this area around Rib Mountain, to have a basement requires blasting ($$$$) so most are slab on grade until you get further from the mountain.

God, I hope you're wrong about a long winter Aspen. I keep telling myself this is the time to work on the car and motorcycles, so I can spend more time driving and riding when it's warm.

Kitcar - If you want to give that snowblower a workout, come on over to Michigan!

That's what I do when it's cold and crappy out, spend quality time with the car out in the garage. Things you want to do to it but don't want to do during the car season. The season's short enough already without having the car laid up for part of it.

Adjusted ride height in front today. Needs a heater core BAD. So I jumped the loop till I can get it over to the shop and have the freon sucked down. Then my winter project is to rip the dash out and replace it. It also will get the NOS dash pad I have in Stock to complete the repair. I will probably also trade out the clear lense grille for one that I have with red lenses. Gotta get ahold of Phil and get a front spoiler on order also. I'd like to swap out the wheels for one's painted the right color also

Chris,
Can you give us the dimensions of your garage/storage, please?
(Very nice, BTW).

Anyone that has a spot to back the truck AND trailer into to keep it out of the weather ... needs to share the details. (wink wink)

Only one little problem. No matter how big you build your garage,,,,,,,,,,,it'll never be big enough. They seem to be like a TARDIS in a parallel universe. Instead of bigger on the inside than the outside, they're bigger on the outside than the inside.

Workshop is 30 wide by 52 deep. 16 foot high in the front half. The rear has scissor trusses and a parts loft (full)
Main storage is 30 wide by 50 deep 12 foot ceilings with a 10 foot wide storage up through the stairs.(full)
Second storage is 26 wide by 28 deep 10 foot ceilings with crawl space up top (full). That also has a 10x22 with doors on both ends for when I used to ride snowmobiles. Could drive in and out.

Chris,
Now you have my curiosity going.
How many F bodies do you currently have (and what are they)?

Bud, I sold that green two door to my cuz. So I have the wagon and the two kitcars left in F bodies. Then I have the 67 Barracuda also.
