I put an '88 servo on my '83 and it was an exact fit, I would assume yours would be the same. Not sure why the vent filter covers are different colors, my '83 was blue.
There might be some internal difference but nothing that I could tell, it looked the same.

I've never opened one of these up as in your picture. Anything in there serviceable?

The end where the speedo cables plug into can easily be taken off and the gears and swing weights can be cleaned. The diaphragm canister is not so easy to remove, it is crimped on. If you are patient this can be pried open without damaging it. Inside is a solenoid and some contacts, everything I saw was extremely clean, i don't think much moisture makes its way in there. Honestly, the only reason to ever take one of these apart would be if it didn't work. On mine, the diaphragm was stuck from not being used for years, I took it apart to free it without damaging it.
