Hello all,
I'm located in Southern Ontario and have always own Mopar products as main drivers. Started with my parents old 72 Newport. In 1980 I
purchased a new Diplomat 2 door sport with a leaning tower of power. It wasn't my first choice ......I really wanted a Mirada but the insurance company and high interest rates shattered my dreams. Well it's time to turn back time!!I now own at 1980 Dodge Mirada CMX.(E58, T-top) It's current in the shop getting tuned and painted.I'm sure I will have some questions along the way and sure some of you will have some advice. Thanks

Thanks JBodyDriver, paint is over 20 years old and really a just a 30 footer. You know there are only 76 360 Miradas built, a rare car. The paint code for Baron red I think is TM9, E58 is the 360 4BBL, and M55 is the t-tops, I like the Tan buckets and console, mine has the 40/60 split bench in Ox Red. Your Charger looks fantastic!!
You need to post more pictures...lol

Mirada80.... You want more pic's of Mirada or Charger? My Mirada has a cracked windshield.....so it will not pass a Ontario Safety check. I searched local glass shops and they said "Front glass of a what????" Mirada "Don't have it.....cannot get it". So I just bought a rotten 1981 Cordoba with good glass that has sitting in a guy backyard. I'm pulling the glass any suggestions on what else I should keep before it goes for the big crush. Don't really have indoor place to keep shell and it will go down hill in condition real fast without glass. Getting ready to new paint!!!

Any interior parts that are good, window regulators, window trim, and check the rear, if it has a 8.25, someone may want it. Their is a place in the US that still makes the windshield, but it cost a lot to ship them

You will want to save interior plastic trim pieces around the seats, if the rear fender extensions are any good save them, they are different than a Mirada, but everyone is looking for them. Also save the wiper arm linkage with the nylon bushing in it for returning the wipers to the park position, at some point you will need that. I spent $150US for a nos one several years ago.
What color is the interior of the Cordoba?

Steering Column, transmission...drag racers like the lightweight case, the fiberglas reinforcement panel (behind the bumper cover) if its not cracked, headlight bezels, front turn signal housings if they aren't cracked, un-cracked side marker lens, bucket seats, all saleable items to buy more parts for the Mirada....if the Cordoba windshield doesn't come out without cracking, Pilkington Classics in Ohio has reproduction tinted windshields for $270 plus $225 to ship to a customs agent in Canada...

Hi Mirada80, Sorry it took so long to get back on site. Yes, car is painted just need to paint roof band. Ended up stripping whole car to bare metal before painting a lot of work. Going to Columbus Ohio in March to get new windshield. Install new windshield, headliner and trim, then cruising time!

Hey Mods, This Windshield info should sticky or archived, or whatever it is so its easy to find and permanent. Maybe they should advertise here. Money well spent for direct to the owners of the cars, only they produce windshields for. $500 Doesn't sound like a horrific premium for a shipped glass for a J body. $270 cash and carry is wow cheap!! IMO
