What is that module next to the voltage regulator on the firewall. Part number is 3874300.

Has a plug and wire assembly harness connected to it.

Having ignition problem with no start. Ignition switch good and hear a light click when turned but nothing else. Any ideas??

That is time delay for the EGR system. Did you try to bypass at the starter relay? Are you sure of the connections? Charged battery and clean terminals?

The EGR delay is not a factor. You say you hear a light click when turning the key to "start" (correct?). If so, that eliminates the ignition switch or it's wire harness. The click is the starter relay on the firewall on the far left upper side. Just because it clicks, doesn't mean the relay is good. You should have power coming out on the brown wire. That wire goes to the solenoid on the starter itself. If that's OK, double check that there's voltage at the starter solenoid. This all needs to be done by back probing the wires, you want it connected yet. This tests the circuit under load,,,,,,very important. You can have voltage and continuity without a load but that doesn't mean the circuit can carry any amperage. If you're good there, and there's battery voltage on the red cable, it's a 99% chance the starter itself is to blame. This is provided the cables and connections are clean and tight.

Welcome Joe!

You might want to add a signature, which mentions the year and model of your car, to help with other questions.

Part number 3874300 is verified to be the EGR timer.

One thing I didn’t get - is does car not crank, or does it crank but no start?
You mention a light click – so I would assume it is the former and not the latter.
If it is the former, the EGR timer would not have not have anything to do with car not cranking.

The most likely sources for a no crank concern would be (not necessarily in order):
Bad or discharged battery
Dirty battery terminals
Bad starter
Bad starter relay
Poor battery cable connections (to starter and/or to block)
Bad battery cable(s)
Bad ignition switch (which I don’t think it is, if you can hear a light click noise)
A problem with wiring harness, somewhere

Do you have a Factory Service Manual or another kind of Service Manual you can access?
