So we decided not to watch the superbowl this year.
Too many snowflakes kneeling during the national anthem and total disrespect for veterans by the nfl.

We did tune in for halftime.

Here's what I saw before we turned away:
Justin Timberlake and dancers dressed in really drab clothes.
Jibber-jabber singing which you couldn't understand even when the music wasn't drowning it out.
Pit-i-ful poor job of lip-syncing.
Dancing looked like everybody on stage needed to go potty, really-really badly. Or maybe they all had UTI's and were having trouble waiting to get to the bathroom.

About the 3rd song, we gave up.
The mister fell asleep and I was able to get control of the channel changer to find something else to watch.

Back to knitting/crochet and watching my fella sleep. lol

UTI....HAHAHA......I was thinking VD or them needing tetanus shots. My kids even were watching just for the 1/2 time show. They were disappointed.

Believe it or not, the wife was insistent we watched it. I had no intention of watching it. She loves the advertisements. And she actually had interest in the game, the plays and learned enough to enjoy the game.
Its the only football in this house since the players became social justice warriors. Disrespecting our country and those who made the sacrifice's that makes America the envy of the world. Find your own venue to show America and the world your disrespect and ignorance.
It was a good game, that ended great! We where both thrilled the Eagles beat the Pats! Half time sucked. All of it was sub-par. Sound, dress, lighting, etc. Commercials were not all that entertaining.
BUT on a bright note. I wasn't lectured by some far left loon, telling me how my patriotic, pistol packing, law abiding heart is racist. Believe it or not, it was the only 4 hours on TV that isn't full of political spin, lies and Pelosi's Crumbs. Over all, I'd say it was a success. I'm not returning to football. But in all fairness, it was a great game, and it was only the game. My Sunday are still for wrenching.

I watched the game. Better game than most Superbowl games have been. I muted the half time show, since I can't stand Justin Timberlake. I can't say how good or bad the half time show was, as I didn't hear, or pay attention to it.

I loved the outcome. I'm a Raiders/Steelers fan, so I didn't have any allegiance either way; just thought it was nice that a team that had never won a Superbowl won. Nice to see the fawning over Tom Brady football "experts" be proven wrong.

I'm not much of a TV watcher, nor football fan. It was on in my house. My kids were watching. I was working the repair on my 78 Volare grille' ( 3 chipped spots left). So I had acetone paste all over me as I came in and out of the garage and kitchen. The thing that pissed me off the most was the announcer Chris Collinsworth's mancrush for Tom Brady. Hey, I'm ok with anyone's sexual preference, but the obvious mancrush was disturbing and affecting the broadcast quality. The sports commentators are the worse. The whole ESPN armchair warrior mentality. Want to lower IQ a few numbers, duck tape someone to a chair and force them to watch any ESPN or Foxsports commentator program. Every time I get to the gym, the "sports talk" is on, with the idiots blab blab blab talking about garbage opinions. I always get a hold of the remote and put on We or lifetime or Oprah's channel just to mess with the crowd. Even worse, some folks put political talk programs on. I go to the gym to try to de-stress and maintain some type of shape. I mean lugging a backpack of tools, jack, and junk through a junkyard is no easy task. A couple of times I almost gave up. Got to keep in good shape. Staying away from paid commentators on sports or politics will keep anyone more healthy.

I'm glad to find out, that I am not the only guy that doesn't care about football. I stayed at my mother in laws long enough to see if they butchered the national anthem, it was respectful. Then I went home and watched 2 recorded episodes of Law & Order.

I'm a Canuck.
It's not a sport if it's not played on ice.

I watch the opposite Superbowl, where the Pats are 3 pete champs.
Like how Carolina won Superbowl 50.

About the only sport I ever watch, or have any interest in, involves 4 wheels and either a straight 1/4 mile strip or a road course, NOT an oval. I'll admit to LISTENING to the Brewer's on the radio if I'm out in the garage. Not for the game itself, but because Bob Ueker does the play by play and he is awesome, especially his stories between plays. The game itself,,,,,,,not a whole lot of interest although Ueker does make it somewhat interesting.

Top fuel, both funny car and dragster are 1,000 ft, the others are the classic 1/4 mile. Still amazes me how they get an estimated 10,000-12,000 hp from 500 cubic inches and go 0-320 mph in 4.5 seconds. It almost doesn't seem possible! I love when they shut it down before the 60 ft mark and still have a 7 second run, coasting 90% of the way. DANG!

how would you like to build a motor that only lasted 900 total rpm under full power!

10.000 RPM. Slightly less than double your avg. daily drivers red line. Really beyond our current technology nd metallurgy for the amount of weight swinging around a 500 inch motor. They run wide open for four seconds. That isn't many trips around the crankcase. Id guess they turn less than 10k revolutions from the burn out box to the finish line. If you have the right builder and tune, you might get 4 or 5 rounds. Or around 3000 Revolutions, under full power. They run 1000ft in under 1,000 Revolutions and just 4 seconds. 166.666 Revolutions per second. It doesn't sound fast, to me anyhow, but that's 10,000 RPM. And that does sound fast. 10,000/60=166.666. 166.66 x 60 = 9999.6 so yep, 166 R P S. Unless Top Fuel is turning more than 10.000 RPM?

All that power and they use "only" 22-23 gallons of fuel per run (warm up , burn out, actual trip down the track), lol. You almost wonder how that's even possible. I guess they run an A/F ratio of roughly 1.5:1, just a TAD richer than gasoline.
