None, Each year I jump in it and drive to Daytona (200 plus miles each way) for the Turkey run, only checking fluids. It is a manual steering car so the "feel" is very positive.

Interesting treatment of the wood sides. What is that, pin stripe? Or is it painted? I like the wheels too. More pics would be nice. Can't beat a 4 speed wagon!

The "wood" is paint with the tan of the wagon masked (quarter in.) to simulate wood strips. I like to paint and the price of repo vinyl was crazy!!!

There are pics on this site from my projects...but I do not know how to link them...My own are locked up on my old desk top. My phone does not want to talk to the new desk top so. I will consider a new dedicated camera for better pics.. I like pics also!!!

That is an amazing car. Having done the instrument cluster swap I see you hit the same problem I did. The wiper switch from the LeBaron dash will not work the Volare wipers so you just bolt in the Volare switch. :) You have put a lot of work into that car, and it is worth every penny of the asking price.

Thank you and several others on this site for your kind comments. If I did not have my Blue "lux cruiser" with power steering for these old arthritis shoulders I would have no problem keeping (except room) it!!!

Ah yes. OY came without power steering also, and it annoyed me enough to install power steering. Now, it is much nicer to drive. It wasn't really a problem on the road, but parking and town driving was. If anything, it's too "power" now. I have to really pay attention to not over-react with it. The brakes also - original power (as all wagons had) but touchy and easy to lock up! I'm so used to my Mazda 3 steering to which 40 year old tech can't compare. The problem of room - yes. Never enough. I remember when I was buying a pre-built garden shed, and asked the sales agent size she recommended I order, and she replied: "Well, no matter how big you get it, you will fill it up anyway!" She was right.

Okey Doke..
I like the nautical style wood. I like the car!
I plan on towing a small camper and can't get my head wrapped around doing that with a standard trans.
I know it's do-able, I'm just too lazy to do all that clutch-shifting work when backing up-turning-with the trailer-on a hill-trying to get it into the campsite.
But I really like the car!
I currently have a 12 Dodge Caravan and have thought of doing wood on the side like this.
Good luck!

Now finishing the small repairs on my "other" wagon and painting the area under the trim including the rockers around to and including the pinch weld. Not fun laying on my back painting UP...
