I’m not a fan of brown vehicles. That said, that is a fabulous color/design and would look great on a car (even if it is brown).

I’m not an expert on vinyl material. I would “think” that heat, sunlight and moisture is what eventually kills vinyl – so if my theory is correct, vinyl left in a warehouse will still have a lot of life remaining.
That said, I could be wrong. The reason I think that is cars that are left in garages from day one, the original vinyl tops still look nice.

On another note: it is a lot of work to change vehicle colors – especially, if painting under hood and door jambs.

After a bunch of internal back-and-forth I've decided (well... for now) that the cool dark brown paisley material would force me to jump through too many hoops to get the blend of contrasts that I'm after. As @BudW and others have said, the best way to make it work is with a dark brown paint scheme... that's a huge color-change, plus I have to rethink my wheels, trim options, and it changes the whole character of the car.
So, I'm on to this...
