Does anyone know the thread size for the air door tension lock screw, or whatever it's called? Odds are that BudW may know. But if anyone else can provide an answer any sooner, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks

As well as I can remember, I used a 3/8 pipe nipple to make my door adjusting tool. I cut the threads off one end, then I cut it so it had two tits sticking up that were 1/8 wide. I cross drilled the other end, and spot welded two finishing nails in the holes. The thread size should be 3/8 pipe thread or 3/8 fine thread. If not 3/8, then it was 1/4 inch pipe nipple.

I found the lock-screw threads to be 7/16"-20. That will come in handy to clean up any damaged threads. But I have some other ideas I'm trying to sort out with it as well.

89.Fifth, Thanks for the offer. I have a few right now, but still learning how to tune them. So far my best luck has been with a carb that's already freshened as opposed to trying to completely go through a core. But I wouldn't mind a PM with the casting numbers, condition & price for future reference.

I made my own tool also. But it can still be improved on. Everything seems so darn delicate & sensitive.
