Hey guys:
Last year I bought an all-original '87 GF, and although I haven't put a lot of miles on it, I discovered right away this is one poor-handling car. The steering is slow, and loose, it bounds over bumps and the rear-end does this weird oscillation when you hit a dip in a curve.
The first thing I did was check out the suspension and steering to ensure I didn't have something broken. Everything was fine, other than the steering box has slop in it internally.
I installed a set of KYB Gas-A-just shocks, which helped noticeably....but man this thing needs more than that. It is so under-suspended and slow in the steering that it makes me nervous to drive it 75-80mph through the mountains on the Interstate.
So, what's the shortlist to tighten this stuff up? The Iso-clamps will go when I swap rearends.
Thanks.
