Yeah! I should give the owner a call and see if it's been swapped out. There's one about 70 miles north of me that looks to be in terrific shape. Hmmmm....

You sound afraid of it. Know that a Lean Burn to Conventional Electronic Ignition swap would probably be one of the easiest repairs you may be required to make on a car this old. It's just bolting on cheap parts or a kit with endless instruction available. Not even worthy of consideration when appraising an FMJ for purchase.


And hell you may not even HAVE to. My lean burn is still operational at 90k miles and 40 years old.
