thats wild,a 4 door lebaron..
looks identical to the 5th ave till you get close to the ass end.
the side markers give it away tho.

the 1987 gold 5th ave i got for parts has tan fabric seats, and they are Not power seats either.
they have no adjustments at all.
in fact they are identical to my 1980 lebaron seats, tilt forward only.

Mine are the same way and cause the lebaron was the original and the 5th took the body in 82 and I love the back end remind of a Cutlass

a 750 is too big for a 318.
But for a stock engine, even if you gave the slanty exactly as much air as it wanted, how much power is that and at what mph will you feel it. And what are you gonna have to do to get that theoretical power?
Well on a good day, it might be theoretically possible to get say 5% or 7 hp at say 3800rpm. I'm guessing. But you are gonna have to give it at least a free-breathing exhaust and a distributor tune.
Ok next, with a 2.45 rear end, 3800 in first gear with an A999 trans is about 43mph.
That will change your zero to 43mph ET by how much? IDK, I doubt you can measure it.

So let's see; the cost of the carb, the intake, air-cleaner, linkages, etc and a hi-flow exhaust, and a tune comes to.......IDK say $1500, and the result is an immeasurable change in ET.........
What am I missing here?

Oh it's not for a car, it's for a rat-rod; I see.
Well then, anything goes it's your cash make it work,HappyHotRodding.
But I can tell you this; even the primaries are more than the stock slanty can ever use, and IMO trying to tune it will give you fits .

A 750 double pumper is WAY too much for a S6. Unless it's highly modified and has forced induction, a small 4 bbl like a 450 is much better. On a stock engine that's still probably too much carb, even if jetted down. I'm not a S6 guy but chances are you'd do better with a 2bbl from a Super Six and I'm sure the S6 guys will chime in and either agree with me, or call me an idiot:D

Not nearly enough carb. Try dual strip dominators. Or 3 of them. A Clutchflite trans with a rear end out of a 1927 Mack. Love the AWD plans too too. Do it !

IMO; the absolutely best thing you can do for a slanty is to
>give it some gears (like 3.91s) and IMO, a 2800TC. It will leave the line like a rocket, and be all done by top of second or ~50mph.
>The next best thing is to lighten the car about 30% lol, or whatever you can do without, do without it.
>The next best thing is a Commando box manual trans. If you have to have an auto, then an A500, and even deeper gears... but IDK how you will bolt that A500 to the slanty.

You can dump a bunch of fuel down it and make it louder, but it's still going to be a slant six when you're done with it.
