Asp500, are you using just the one piece full inner liner or are you using the 78 inner liner that interconnects with the oem 76-77 one, then there is a tiny third section but they all interconnect and are you using the plaps that go in the front of the fender behind the headlights?

The 78 full can mount by itself, but if you look close at it, its got tabs to interconnect with the one that covers the full area in the pic, at one time I thought it was either or but the tabs connect them both together.

Me dont see no rust in this pic?

In Wisconsin they could have made the fenders from 316 stainless steel and they'd still rust through.

I have a one piece fender liner. I don't see any tabs. There is a larger hole (maybe 1/2") that I don't see any use for, just visible in my bad photo ( very thin red arrow). Wow, I'm doing awesome with pics today, NOT.

Oddly, this is an NOS liner and doesn't fit worth a crap. The other side is original and fits perfectly. Go figure.........

Here are some of your better pics, I posted about some nos full ones on ebay long ago.

WANTED - the plastic fender wells

Here is the 76 77 that interconnect with the 78, although im not fully sure it was the intent but you can easily use both. And in mid 77 they added another small one, hard to find.

Vs going to the shop this pic is from ebay of the org. back of wheel well and keeping junk out of the door hinge area.

Thats cool, thanks for posting the pic. Can you read the brand name on the sticker.

Done right the front fenders are hard to tell on the car, doors take a bit more effort but they had like 1/4 thick glass pads to bolt the hinges to, and a area for the window crank and door handle.

I would probably consider trading a steel hood for a six pack. I get Way More than $50 for them and only have two left.

That same sticker is on my Fiberglass fenders. Gel coated in white, also never used. I traded a single steel driver side for them. But they look nice and will go with my bumpers. Couldn't have been for recall use, as every dealership in the rust belt had tons of them in stock. They were all scamming the company by getting customers to sign that a recall action had been performed when it hadn't. I bought out several dealers stocks 20 yrs ago or so. Always made me wonder how many customers signed on for something they didn't even know about. You can't go to a swap meet yet today without seeing those red oxide fenders even if there are no other F parts there.

So out of curiosity. How much weight does a glass door really save? I'm looking to put one of my Super Coupes on a serious no-crashing diet for SCCA.

I don't know how much less a glass door would be but I removed the crash bars and undercoat then attacked the doors with 2 1/2" hole saw under the trim pads.. In total I saved about 30 pounds from each door.
I don't remember the total weight of the doors but there not light.

That factory cross brace is a killer weight wise, although it wasnt intended to be light or flimsy. I dont have a good way to currently weigh each but I can say the glass doors with lexan windows in place of the glass with all the other functional hardware in place is the biggest overall weight saver vs glass fenders, hood and pin on deck lid savings combined. They even have the same hollow sound to them when you shut them minus the glass rattle.

Although I dont know where one would get doors today but mine are nice and would be a gerat pattern since they have very thick pads on the inside for the door hinges and where the window crank attaches and striker, ect. I used to be a skeptic on them as far as strength and longevity untill looking at some hood and even more some glass hualed? boats, they do incredible things with the glass boats I never thought would be done or tried.

Yes, there was such a wait for steel fenders at one point that they did use those exact fiberglass fenders for the recall. I have a set myself.

Glass Doors will probably be the biggest weight savings you make with body panels.

I actually traded a single driver side steel nos for my pair of glass ones. Had to do the driving 3.5 hrs ea. way for it, but I felt it was worth it.

I'm just bummed that guy never contacted me about that six pack hood! We're planning on finally getting the SCCA CAM-T Super Coupe our this year after I ran a couple events last year with FWD. I was planning on having to use the 6 leaf springs from one of my other Super Coupes, one added below main, but I just got an even better set last week. Not sure how I feel about completely removing the impact bar from the drivers door. Might weigh one against a piece of pipe from one I'm about to scrap.

Looking deeper in the thread, I've got the good 78 and up inner fender liners to sell if anybody has need of them.
