It's the same glass, you need to remove all the fiberglass and vinyl top material. You need the correct interior trim though.

Hello: Would the glass & Trim parts hard to find @ a price that would justify in the change, to increase the value of a Volare upgrade, ? Thanks.

Someone on here may have the interior trim although, finding ones that aren't sun damaged is the sticking point. For color you may need to dye them to match your interior.

You already have the glass, most of it is just covered up with fiberglass "plugs" under the vinyl and the interior trim.

On the outside, you can either go with louvers or put the bright trim around the pinch welds. Either ones aren't too hard to come by. In both cases, you need to remove the 1/4 glass (glued to the INSIDE of the body) and the trim or louvers have tabs that get bent around the pinch weld and then the glass gets urethaned back in.

Not the same glass.
Fiberglass plug fills entire full window opening.
Glass in the plug is very small.

I have the glass and exterior trim.
May have a fair set of int. panels.

Yea, as Jim said there are different part numbers on the glass for the small opera window and full glass. 3811798 and 3811799 are the part numbers for the exterior chrome pieces for the large window.

I was too...up until I peeled off the first vinyl topped F.:D

Bonus info...Vinyl top cars didn't get lead in factory seams under it...every one I've skinned was plastic filler.

That goes back to the E-body. With a vinyl top the seams are bondo and not lead. Gee, guess where almost every e-body I've ever seen had rust bubbles under the vinyl?o_O

Yea, I have a few little spots of rust at the bottom edge, just below the (window) fiberglass filler, only on Pass side,, not bad , Seams are plastic filled also, easy redo.
