    No rust. Just a little worn out. Rear axel is clunking and the headliner is gone. That kind of stuff. Runs like a champ. Smoke the right rear tire through all three gears. Hence the rear end clunk. The stude is cool though.

    The 88 5th ave runs very strong and never let me down but it's time to build my Studebaker and I want the 318 and other parts. I put on a 4v intake hei ignition and duel exhaust. What's it worth?

    Bad picture. But works well and does not gas out interior. Plenty of room behind axel gets close to the filler neck on drivers side. Had to cut some inner fender to get tips to aim correctly.

    Made my duel exhaust for my 88 5th ave my self from pre bends bough at the local parts store, used mufflers and spare pipe. Exits just behind the rear wheels like an 80s Malibu looks ok. Sounds great. It is smog exempt though. No cats.

Had my throttle stuck on my 69 Polara when I was 18 the four wheel drums would not hold the 383 so I popped it neutral I can still remember that sound.     Cable is fine I moved the cable hold down to the carb pad. I am using an edelbrock 600cfm and an adapter that I port matched to the intake.     Maybe. Is that crank manufactured by them or an offset ground core? I would think most aplications would be performance based and should be machined for a pilot bushing.

    I think all the cranks get machined for a pilot bushing. Only engines that never get a manual trans dont.

    The magnum has an area on the block that needs grinding to use the magnum starter on the non magnum 904 trans. But other than the flexplate and non balanced torque convertor should work.

    Removing the lean burn and adding a four barrel carb and HEI ignition. The junkyard intake is some kind of high rise unit not sure what it came off of. Date code looks like 77 has a big thermostat housing that required me to move my AC bracket to the right side two inches. Big pain in the neck...

    Mine did the same thing. Check the fuel line the curve on the line is prone to pinching and bending. I rerouted my fuel line and found it was pinching off half the fuel. Its the metal line too the pump. Also replaced the three prong fuel filter. Ran better not great. I then started the leanburn...

    The parts list. 4 bbl intake 40 bucks local yard. Electronic distributor 89.99.Used Edelbrock 600cfm carb 60 bucks. HEI 4 prong moduel 24.99. 2 Gm early alt conectors[ work well for the moduel] 3.99 each. Carb adaptor free. Gaskets 12 bucks Oreilys.

    Strange you gas gauge does that mine does the same thing. It drops fast after 1/2 tank but my fuel lite works. Must be an M body thing.

    I have had a lot of 900 dollar cars that draw bigger crowds at a car show than a 57 chevy. You just dont see old wagons on the road any more. Drive the hell out of it thats priceless.

    I also have the whole computer harness and tbi unit off of the 92 d250 I got my 360 out of. Its pre magnum TBI. Free if you want it? Same deal pay for shipping. Came with 518 trans so no trans control.
